What you'll be getting up to:
- This role will provide support for the Group’s business operations to ensure that it is conducting its business in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Reporting to the Head of Legal Department and work closely with business units, procurement, finance, and other stakeholders to align contract terms with operational and regulatory compliance objectives.
- Assist the Group in overseeing the organization’s contractual processes and assist in driving efficiency in contract lifecycle management from drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts across various departments.
- Assist with the regulatory compliance with the Group’s EU and Asia Pacific operations, providing strategic legal counsel, and supporting commercial activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare and/or review employment and commercial contracts, compliance submissions, work with regulatory requirements and internal Company policies.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal matters pertaining to regulatory compliance, contractual positions and corporate policies by assessing the risk and recommending appropriate mitigation and risk aversion.
- Provide guidance and monitor the compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations (including gaming, AML/FT, corporate compliance).
- Assist with preparation of documents, letters and correspondences for third parties and various government agencies.
- Identify and assess legal and business risks associated with contracts and provide practical solutions to mitigate them. Ensure all contracts comply with applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
- Provide corporate secretarial support and general corporate housekeeping
- Coordinate with the external counsel on various legal matters handled by them
- Ensure compliance with all reportorial requirements of relevant government agencies
- Render legal opinions related to commercial risks, and presenting clear recommendations.
- Perform such other legal tasks that maybe assigned from time to time
Requirements:
- Duly licensed to practice law in any EU country
- At least 4-5 years in the practice of law (preferably with experience working as in-house counsel for a BPO/IT/Gaming Company or within a shared services organization structure)
- Excellent drafting and reviewing skills involving various types of commercial contracts (must have a background in reviewing IT-related contracts); Familiarity with global contract management
- With background and experience in regulatory and compliance matters.
- Strong corporate law background specifically in corporate/reportorial filings with various government agencies.
- Ability to manage competing complex issues matters and adjust to evolving priorities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable in liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
