We are seeking a reliable and vigilant Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our IT office premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring access points, conducting regular patrols, handling emergency situations, and enforcing security protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
What you'll be getting up to:
- Monitor entry and exit of employees, visitors, and deliveries.
- Verify and register visitors; issue access passes as needed.
- Conduct routine patrols of the building, surrounding areas, and parking lots.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance systems and respond to any suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Enforce company policies related to security, safety, and visitor access.
- Assist in emergency situations such as fire, medical emergencies, or evacuations.
- Report any irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, or presence of unauthorized persons.
- Maintain security logs, incident reports, and daily activity records.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders if needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Security Guard or similar role.
- Familiarity with security operations and safety practices.
- Ability to operate security systems and surveillance equipment.
- Good physical condition and ability to stand for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of integrity.
- Excellent observation and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and act quickly in emergencies.
- Basic computer literacy is an advantage.
- Prior experience in an office or IT environment is a plus.
- Minimum G.C.E. O/L or equivalent.
- Certification in security training or basic first aid is preferred.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Sri Lanka
**Shift-based (day and night), including weekends and holidays if required.
